Senior Accountant Visa Inc – Singapore
- Process and maintain accounting records for business units/sub-regional offices and other system interfaces to ensure a high quality of accounting accuracy, timeliness of reporting and compliance to corporate policies, GAAP, SEC and SOX requirements.
- Assist supervisor to review, instruct and monitor line staff as well as staff of business units on applicable policies and procedures to ensure compliance to GAAP, statutory and corporate requirements. Initiate and propose procedural changes to enhance data quality and process flows.
- Achieve proficiency on Visa’s fully integrated accounting system – (Oracle/TM1/iProcurement) and various reporting tools in order to resolve accounting issues and attain higher work productivity within the function
- Take ownership for specific components of the consolidated balance sheet and income statement, review and confirm consolidated balances during month-end closing, perform ongoing analytical review and account reconciliation to validate the integrity of the financial records that support management/head office/statutory reporting.
- Drive projects as directed by line management to assess the financial impact of changes to accounting policies, processes and other parameters.
- Provide guidance to business departments on accounting policies and procedures to drive a higher quality of accounting inputs and resolve any detected issues at the transaction source.
Requirements

Professional· Degree in Accounting or ACCA or equivalent· Minimum 5 to 7 years relevant accounting experience in a multi-national company, prior 2-3 years should be in auditing with a large public auditing firm· Qualified CPA required· Familiar with US GAAP and SEC requirements· Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work well in a fast paced and high volume environment· Capable of handling multiple tasks, possess good organizational, communication, and be extremely flexible.Technical· Strong technical accounting skills, and experience researching and documenting accounting issues· Conversant with integrated accounting applications – particularly Oracle· Knowledge of Microsoft office applications – Excel, Word, Access· Conceptual knowledge of financial databaseBusiness· US or European enterprise with regional presence in several Asia Pacific countries
